Dear Percy Allen, thanks for marking this fleeting Kobe Bryant moment.

SEATTLE - Stop the presses, Percy Allen has something to tell all of us: "Lakers' Bryant simply the best scorer — ever"

Gosh, thanks for that Percy, thank you for marking this fleeting moment. Do you know who lead the league in scoring in 1979, or who was thought of as the "best scorer - ever" in 1979? It doesn't matter much now, just as your proclamation will not matter in another 25, or even 5 years.

Bryant is a great indivifual player, maybe the greatest scorer to this point in NBA history, but he also may be the most prolific loser ever, pumping in 50 and 60 points a game, and still sitting home in June to watch winners win.

More Gelly, less Damien.

SEATTLE - The Sonics kick another game away, this time to the Golden State Warriors, 98 to 99 at Key Arena.

The Barron Davis shot, the missed FT by Lewis, thats nothing, Watson dribbling through a double team from the 3 point line only to caugh up the ball in the paint, twice, was a killer.

A another killer was the trash-talk game Wilkins was having with the GS back court, that went on long enough for that to grow into an elbow to a defender's face, another unforced turnover. Why does somebody do that? Maybe he doesn't care, maybe he never did. Maybe the coach picked the wrong swingman as part of the rotation, maybe the coach should have pulled Wilkins after he pump-faked Davis out of his jock, and hit a lean in bank shot, when the ball went to the end line for GS to pass the ball in for the next play, Wilkins slaps Davis on the back side and says something. Wilkins was having some personal thing going on out there, the coach should have cut that off ASAP. He either didn't notice, or he ignored it, either way that's not OK.

I think Gelabale would makes some mistakes, but not the selfish kind Damien Wilkins displayed last night.

More Gelly, less Damien.
More post ups in the 4th quarter, less plays that are planned around a 25 foot shot.
Less Watson with his hands on the ball in the half court, period.

Sonics Take a Dump on Boston Court

SEATTLE - Sonics score 66 points in first half, 37 points in second half, up by 9 at half time, lose by 15 by a score of 118 to 103 in Boston.
Another front court player has a career night rebounding against Wilcox and Collison. Wilks isn't a fulltime backup if the best starter we have is either Watson or Ridnour.

Enough BS. I don't want to hear how the team would be better off without Luke, or Earl. Fact is that this team isn't good enough to get by with just one of those guys, because, just one of those guys isn't good enough to carry his weight enough to have the team withstand that player sitting on the bench for 10 minutes while some backup toils away, they are not that good independant of each other.
The team either has to make it work with both of them, or look for a much better starting PG and maybe move one, or both (in seperate deals).
I would rather that the team has 48 full minutes of quality PG play, but they just don't appear to be able to make that work as a team. MOVE THEM BOTH.
